Some of the stories of the children showing where they were picked from, their situation and how they ended up in the Centre. 

Joyce Farida

In the year 2008 being abandoned to the streets. Later she was taken in by the Centre through the Chief's office, got the support and education in the Centre throughout the years:

  • picture1 2008 at the encounter with the chief,

  • picture 2 2012 in her education program in primary school in the Centre,

  • picture 3 in her high school education 2016,

  • picture 4 after finishing school ,

  • picture 5 in 2020 mentoring kids at the Centre having failed to continue with education. The Centre could not be able to support her for the college or university education

  • picture 6 in the year 2023 visiting children in the Centre 

Sharon Khahunguka

Abandon at 3 months old having that the mother had a condition of mental health. She was being raised by her grandmother in a poor condition. she was admitted to the Centre at the age of 5 in the year 2007

  • The pictures share a great history on her education journey and the life at the Centre. 

  • She has completed high school education having achieve the university point but unfortunately she has been able continue with the education due to lack of funds. 

  • Currently she a volunteer as teacher at the Centre.

Asward Khasoa 

In the year 2008 being abandoned to the streets. Later she was taken in by the Centre through the Chief's office, got the support and education in the Centre. The mother was a drug adict. She was with her sister picking dirty food from the streets with no hope of any future.

  • By the year 2021 she completed her high education but failed to continue with college due to lack of funds

  • Currently hocking in the city of Nairobi just to make a living​

  • Hoping that one day she might find a well wisher to help her continue with her studies

Harun Ayodi Jumba

Was admitted to the Centre in the year 2009 after his parents abandoned him since they weren't able to take good care of him. He developed kwashiorkor. The Centre took him and guided him through the education program where he later finished high school.

 Currently doing casual labour to be able to support his small family of four members

Pascall Shumo

Was admitted to the Centre in the year 2018 at the age of 4 years. He hadn't started school. He became a total orphan at the time. 

He is been through the education program at the Centre and now in the year 2024 he is in grade 4. he is a very bright boy and takes education very serious

Faith Maresi

The parent got a divorce due to drug addiction and left the children under the care of the grandmother who was not able to care for them. She was then admitted to the centre in the year 2008 at the age of six years. She is been through the education program and already graduated with a Certificate in hospitality management and hustling to find a living

Emanuella Ongoche

In the year 2007 she was abandoned by her drug addict parents. She was found locked in the house by the neighbors. She was taken to the police after which she was sent to the Centre. Went through education program and finished her high school in the year 2021. Currently married with one baby. She has no work. She relies on hustling to make a living

Jeje Francis Owino

In the year 2006 both parents died in span of two months leaving behind a six year old and eight year old. The closer family rejected and abandoned them. He was left with his uncle who wasn't able to take care of him. He the later was bought to the centre and got admitted to the education program. He finished high school in the year 2019, continued with university pursuing Heath Records and Information Technology in his second year. He derails his education since he is hustling as well as studying with the little he gets. Hoping to find a donor one day so that he can finish his studies.

Felix Oluoch

A big brother to Jeje Francis who they were left together by the deceased parents and being total orphans, they were rejected by the close family. He was admitted to the Centre in the same year as his brother. He has finish school and college graduated with a diploma in Computer Science. He is currently with no work. Any help can be appreciated.

Agnes Wambona

She was admitted to the Centre in the year 2006 where she got educated and taken good care of. She finished her high school and before joining college, she volunteered as undergraduate teacher at St. Anne's Rehabilitation Centre for 2 years. She then joined college in the 2016. she is talented in music and has produced four album in the Gospel music industry. She is now a teacher in Thawabu primary school in Kayole

Naomi Mothembwa

At the Age of 4, her parents died leaving her as a total orphan. She was brought to the centre through one of  the area Pastor who when he was in his missionary's work, the church members present her case before him. She finished school and while hustling for a living she got raped in the year 2022 and bore a child. She didn't continue with her studies as this was one of the setbacks. currently hustling for a living to support her small child whom the father is yet to be known.

Emma mideva

Also got admitted to the Centre in the year 2007. She has been through the education program and finished high school. Due to lack of funds, she never continued with her studies. Currently she is hustling here and there to make ends meet and her passion is to be a beautician. 

Juanita Benium Luvandwa

She became an orphan when her single mum died in the year 2013. she was then admitted to the Centre in the same year through her aunt who had no capability of caring for her. she went through the education program and has now finished her high school in the year 2023. Currently she is waiting for a well wisher to sponsor her chase her long living dream of becoming a air-hostess.
